Welcome (back)

Do you remember being a kid and thinking that every day, week, month, year seemed to take forever? I remember thinking summer vacation was almost un-ending. Oh what I would give to get that feeling back. Over the last year of working full time, I have noticed getting lost in work and forgetting to enjoy the good times.

Hiking In and Around the Beautiful Portland Area
October was a month full of weddings for my husband and I. You know what we realized attending all of these events filled with friends? That we have not been taking full advantage of our lives. In fact, we found ourselves attempting to fill every minute we had with them with excitement. Consequently, we both came home and promptly caught colds.
Its time for a change, and what better way to help remember how to track the beautiful moments of life than with the whole world on the internet? Please join me in this adventure!

Vacation Daze

For the last week and a half my husband has taken off work. We spent our time partly working around the house and partly exploring the beautiful area that we live. It is still amazing new to us. We explored Cannon Beach (again), explored some of Central Oregon (though we failed to summit South Sister), and ascended Dog Mountain in the Columbia River Gorge. I've chosen to share the pictures from this wonderful hike.

Successes

This weekend was full of successes. In fact, with the husband on his vacation, this may be a 14-day weekend full of successes. The first little success was figuring out how to post pictures into my blog directly from my phone.

Over a Year...

Yes, I am really succeeding at keeping up with this blog. Though, I was suddenly surprised of a friend of mine, Ferial, who I believe had three blog attempts until it finally stuck. Perhaps I just need one more re-start before I am dazzling cyberspace with my adventuring.

Early Resolutions

I have obviously been slacking on the blog updates. In my defense, I finally landed a job here in Portland. I work at a privately owned swimming school, so between May and August I was fairly busy. Especially considering that I was working hard at the swim school and continuing my knitwear designing.
