These socks look about the same as they did a while ago. I blame the baby blanket (its so easy and a touch more time sensitive). Though I do love the bright happy colors.
The baby blanket is nicely squished onto its needle. I have made it through the patterning, so its plain knitting from here on out. We shall see how long that takes me...
Paul's sweater has made noticeable progress!! I bound off the bottom hem (above) and started down the sleeve (below). I am thinking about getting the second sleeve to the same point in this picture, then working both sleeves down to the wrist. This will insure that the sleeve shaping matches.
Obviously, this is not a current work in progress, but I thought I'd remind myself of some of the goodies I have waiting for me. This blend is from Yarnia here in Portland. I almost didn't get it, but those rich purples were all sitting up on a shelf next to each other and I couldn't resist. I got 4 ounces, which should be enough for a nice little shawlette/scarf.
These two little gems were a happy surprise in the clearance section of Dublin Bay Knitting Co, also here in Portland. I love the bright colors and I think that these two skeins of fingering weight yarn will become a nice generous shawelette in the near future.
I also put in a end of pregnancy crazy custom order for some floresent yellow yarn from Thoroughly Thwacked. You can see the yellow in the pictures of the gradient kits (which I also really liked) but I wanted to play with just the wild glowing yellow.
So I have plenty to do, and plenty to think about once these projects are finally off the needles. My mental knitting RAM is currently full, so just looking at the pretties will have to be enough for now.
If you have any favorite neon items, I'd love to hear about them. I ordered that yarn without any idea what to make of it!
