We finally got some sunshine, and I took a few quick glamour shots of my Sea Anemone Shawl. These were just quickies, and the pattern is still in progress (if I've started it, oops). I was able to get the general shape and feature some of my favorite components of this beautiful piece.
Surprisingly it was sunny and drizzly, so after a few shots in this fun light, I moved inside.
This is what I am calling the keyhole neck start. I love the big bold detail right at the start!
A few close-ups to show off the exciting color changes that kept me knitting!
I especially love the look of the bind off! I always bind off lacy shawl type projects with two strands of the yarn held together. I think it adds just enough heft to really give shape and drape to the final piece.
Some of the blocking is not as clean as it was, because I have been wearing it as much as humanly possible. I'm amazed at how large of a shawl I was able to get out of only 100 grams of fingering weight yarn!
