Fun Knitting!

In preparation for baby blanket knitting, I thought I would go through the current WIPs (works in progress) that I have. Mind you, I am ignoring projects that are hibernating or in time-out.

Paul is finally getting a sweater. Its pretty long already, longer than I remembered, so pulling it out this last week did give me a bit of energy and motivation to finish this one soon. Plus its simple, so I can knit on it without thinking (a great contrast to my design knitting where I'm also testing my pattern writing skills).

I did finish Paul's socks, which meant I could pull out some fun, girly yarn for some socks for me. This pattern is just interesting enough to keep me focused, but simple enough that I don't need to reference the pattern. Unfortunately, I knit on these while watching a "suspense thriller" movie the other night. Now when I work on them, I think of that movie, which doesn't quite go with the fun, happy, girly colors. That's okay, I believe this may subside with time.

There are a few other things I'm working on; the couch afghan is still not finished, though I bought so much yarn it may never be finished. I have decided that I will line it when it is "finished" so that is a definite mark of it being completed.
