A Yarn...

Well, the beautiful cop that I showed off in the last post was quite a pain to actually ply. I decided against documenting that particular part of my journey and just sharing the beautiful yarn! Its not entirely what I envisioned. That being said I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting!

As you can see, I did over-ply this baby just a bit...I'm not terribly worried about this though. I over-plyed another bit of yarn not too long ago. It was an experiment with leftovers to see what I could learn about combining different colored singles. Anyway, it was also an experiment in relaxing over-plied yarn (gotta love the multi-tasking, I'm also a fan of Alton Brown :))

So I'll post after the next soaking. I found with my last experiment that a good overnight soak in hair conditioner (because over-plying makes the yarn a bit stiff and crunchy) really relaxed the over-twist and resulted in a nice soft yarn.
